This “Legacy Project” post underscores how honoring our past, capturing stories, and acknowledging the influence of ancestors can shape identity and purpose. In a similar way, when students consider paying someone to take an ALEKS exam, there’s the underlying issue of legacy — what kind of academic record or reputation one wants to leave. Choosing someone to take a test for you might offer a short-term fix, but in the long run, it impacts integrity, personal growth, and trust. Just as preserving a legacy should reflect honor and authenticity, academic choices should reflect one’s own effort, character, and commitment to learning.
